Open Google Meet, click the puzzle piece icon (Activities), go to Add-ons, and search for "Attendance Tracker". Click Install to add it to your Meet.
If you see a message "Some participants may not appear", your Workspace admin needs to configure domain-wide delegation for the service account. Click "Ask your admin to complete setup" in the add-on for instructions.
The Google Meet API has a 2-5 minute delay in registering new sessions. If someone leaves and rejoins, it may take a few minutes for their status to update. The add-on uses multiple strategies to minimize this delay.
The Google Meet REST API requires a Google Workspace account. Personal Gmail accounts (@gmail.com) are not supported by Google's API.
Exports are saved in a "Meet Attendance Tracker" folder in your Google Drive. After exporting, click "Open exported sheet" in the add-on to go directly to it.
